Paula Peaden practices in the areas of trust and estate planning, trusts and estates administration, elder law, long-term care & disability planning, special needs trusts, and guardianships. Ms. Peaden is AV-rated by Martindale Hubbell and included in its list of Preeminent Women Lawyers. Her knowledge and professionalism are evidenced by a number of other peer accolades, including her appointment to the Virginia Business Legal Elite, the Virginia Lawyers Weekly Leaders in the Law, Virginia Super Lawyers for Trusts and Estates and Elder Law, Five Star Wealth Management Professionals, and The Best Lawyers in America® for trust and estate law. In 2014 she was named Best Lawyers Richmond Elder Care Lawyer of the Year.
Ms. Peaden is a member of the Special Needs Alliance and both the state and national chapters of the Academy of Elder Law Attorneys. Ms. Peaden earned her J.D. from George Mason University. She began her professional career as a registered nurse after receiving her B.S. from Mount St. Mary’s College.
When she is not practicing law, Ms. Peaden enjoys conducting speaking engagements at schools, churches, senior centers and other organizations. She has also written on topics related to her estate planning, elder law and special needs practice.
